The Old Whitgiftian Association has a full and varied programme of sporting activities

Golf

The OWGS host on average five events during the year at some excellent courses including Walton Heath and Royal Ashdown Forest, each costing around ?40-?50. We also play around four matches against other Old Boy associations and local golf clubs. In addition to these, we enter team events played off scratch. These include the prestigious Halford Hewitt, Cyril Gray (over 50's) and Grafton Morrish. Although we are yet to win the Halford Hewitt, a largely youthful team coupled with the invaluable experience of Peter Hedges and Andrew Stracey means we have had numerous successes recently.

The general standard of golfer ranges from a scratch handicap to 28. Old Whitgiftians, staff and boys (current and former), and parents of boys are all welcome. As such, you will always have the chance to meet up with peers, colleagues or teachers. The annual subscription is just £20.
