Cricket Club

Founded in 1878, the Old Whitgiftian Club is part of the Old Whitgiftian Association. In days of yore, all members of the cricket club were alumni of Whitgift School. However, for many years now the club has been open to good cricketers of whatever background.
Matches take place at the Clubhouse on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between mid-April and mid-September. The Old Whitgiftian Cricket Club 1st XI plays in Surrey Championship Division 1. There are 3 other Saturday XIs and 1/2 Sunday XIs. Spectators are very welcome. Fixtures, results and statistics for all OWCC teams, together with team sheets and news items, can be found at www.owcc.org.
To play cricket for the OWCC, you will need to become a member of the OWA. You will also then be able to take advantage of the many member benefits the OWA has to offer, including discounted bar prices and discounted rates for hiring the facilities. For more information and application form, please see the "Join Us" section.
