OWA

The OWA has a full and varied programme of sporting activities.

Cricket matches take place at the Clubhouse on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between mid-April and mid-September. Play starts at 12.30 p.m. Some all day matches start at 11 a.m. The Old Whitgiftian Cricket Club plays in Surrey League 1 and is open to both Full and Associate members. Spectators are very welcome. Football matches take place at the Clubhouse on Saturday afternoons between September and April. Kick-off at 2.30 p.m. The Old Whitgiftian Football Club plays in the London Old Boys League and is open to both Full and Associate members. Spectators are very welcome.

Hockey matches take place on an all weather pitch at the School on Saturday afternoons. Bully-off is at 1.30 p.m. The Old Whitgiftian Hockey Club plays in Nastro Azzurro South League and is open to both Full and Associate members. Spectators are very welcome. Rugby matches take place at the Clubhouse on Saturday afternoons between mid-September and mid-April. Kick-off at 3 p.m. (September, October, March, April), 2.30 p.m. (November, February) or 2.15 p.m. (December, January). On days when England home International matches are taking place, kick-off will be at 11 a.m. The Old Whitgiftian Rugby Football Club plays in Surrey 1 League and is open to both Full and Associate members. Spectators are very welcome. 1st XV League fixtures, results and tables can be found on the RFU website at http://www.rfu.com/results/. Click on London & SE Division and then on the league required.

The 2nd XV (Wanderers) play in the Surrey Combination A League and their results and table can be found at http://www.surreyrfu.co.uk/rugby.asp.

Squash facilities are available at the School on weekday evenings from 6.30 p.m.for Full members only. Club night, when any Full member may visit without an arranged partner and find another member to play against, are held on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

Swimming facilities are available at the School on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. for Full members only. Swimming and water polo matches are held throughout the year.
